The Thomas Telford-built bridge, which soars 125 feet over the River Dee, will be partially sealed off for the next month.
The scheduled maintenance means closures until Friday February 9. This will be OPEN from Feb half term guests staying with us.
The aqueduct will be closed to pedestrians at all times and will be closed to boats Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm. However it will be open before and after these times during daylight hours and will remain open on Saturdays and Sundays.
The Canal and River Trust will carry out work to ensure the structure and the Llangollen Canal that crosses it continues to be in good order.
This World Heritage Site is only 17 miles from here at Alkington Grange Barns and this important repair work will help look after the structure for years to come!!
