Thinking of Spring / Summer 2020

So here at Shropshire Holiday Barns we try and help our guests plan a week of family fun that can cope with anything the weather chooses to throw at us!! Obviously the fact we have an indoor swimming pool is VERY handy and helps any parent fill an hour and tire out the children, so that's a good start!! So then what to do next??!

Well, Park Hall Farm near Oswestry is a fun packed day and has both wet and dry venues, so what ever the weather does you can stay dry inside playing on the bouncy castles, peddle tractors and soft play or if the sun shows up then there is the out door play areas, the maze to wonder through and of course the bucket tractor rides!! All this as well as the animal petting and not to be missed the incredible PIG RACING!!! come rain or shine, thise pigs will race down the track!!

Another great day is The Ice Cream Farm at Tattenhall, again it has inside and outside areas that have plenty of space, so there is a sand and water play area, which is fantastic as well as of course the soft play, silent disco and mini farm. Dont forget the amazing selection of Ice creams which always makes a day sunny!!

Chester Zoo again has indoor and outdoor areas and actually on a colder day the animals are much more active, so sometimes the wet and cold improves your day. There is SO much to see and do at Chester Zoo that you really should make the effort and go.

RAF Cosford is a great wet weather day outing for anyone who loves planes. There are 3 huge hangers filled with an array of incredible machines, from the Vulcan and Euro Fighter to a Red Arrow and a Spit Fire!! There is also a sceince area for the Kids!

Along with these why not check out Hoo Farm Animal Kingdom, The Exotic Zoo, Hawkstone Follies, Iron Bridge Gorge, Attingham Park, Erdigg, Fordall Farm, Fenns and Whixall Mosses, Brown Moss and Blue Planet Aquarium!!

So there are just a few suggestions of places to visit if the weather continues to confuse us through the Summer!!! But there is nothing that compares to spending a few special days with those we love, what ever the weather!
