Each Cottage is Disinfected using a 'Fogger' between guest stays, this equipment pictured above is the same chemical & Equipment used is hospitals and in Airpline industry.
We’ve provided soap for hand washing and some hand sanitiser outside pool and sports area.
In addition outside of our main seasion will now only do short breaks to give 72 hours between guests.
In order to cut down on the risk of infection, we have had to remove some of what we normally provide. If you have been before you may notice a small difference but if you haven’t been before then I don’t think you’d be aware. The barns are still very well equipped!
We have left spares of everything but there is not a full second set. Dishwashers will have to be put on after every meal.
We have removed hair dryers as we expect everyone who wants one has their own.
We have removed food processors from the kitchen as there are so many individual bits to them that would have all had to be washed whether they had been used or not.
We have removed some of the cushions on the sofas and beds. We have removed the throws on the beds.
We have removed some ornaments, books, DVDs and games. These present too much of a risk of possible contamination and we have been advised to remove them.
Please adhere to our arrival time of not before 5pm and departure by 9 am at the latest. We need all of the time to complete the necessary tasks.
We respectfully suggest that you pack the night before in order to be able to leave on time. Please leave the dishwasher running.
We ask that you take extra measures to be more vigilant about hygiene during your stay, both for the safety of you, your guests and our staff who will be coming in to clean after your departure. We’d be very grateful if you could leave the barn in a clean and tidy condition.
Please empty all bathroom bins and kitchen bins into the main rubbish blue skips
Please fill the dishwasher and set the programme running before you leave. You do not need to empty it as we are leaving this for the next guests to unload. If anyone touches the contents they will have to be re-washed!
We have been advised to ask you to strip your beds and put the bed linen in the laundry bags provided: pillowcases, sheets, towels and bathmats all to be put in bags together, duvet covers in a separate bag. We will leave the bags and they will be labelled “Duvet Covers Only” and “General Linen & Towels”.
This is to protect our staff from any possible contamination while changing the beds when the virus can be thrown up in the air. We would be HUGELY grateful if you could do this for us.
You do not need to remove the pillow protectors or mattress covers, just the bedlinen. The protectors will be changed before the beds are re-made.

We would ask that you minimise asking us or any of our staff to enter the building during your stay. If, for example, a dishwasher doesn’t work, we can try and sort it out over the phone in the first instance, or by email If someone does have to come into the barn then we will ask that you let us know when you are going out so that they can come in when the barn is empty. If this is not possible then please explain as much as possible what the problem is and vacate the appropriate room while they are working.
The office will be open, generally between 9am and 5pm Monday – Friday with some exceptions. In the first instance, please email with any queries or problems so we can try to sort them out without any need for us to visit the barn, or for you to visit the office. If you do have to see us in person then please do not come into the office but knock and wait at the door. Any weekend call-out should be for a genuine emergency that cannot be sorted either by resorting to operation manuals (see below), or an email.
On arrival, the barns will be ready for you and the key code pad will have been disinfected so you don’t need to worry about using it. We ask that you do not request an early check-in or arrive before 5pm. Departure time is 9:30 at the latest please. Our housekeepers need all of their time to complete the enhanced cleaning and disinfecting under the new COVID-19 protocols above. We’re sure you’ll understand the importance of this.
We ask that you socially distance from other guests please, especially relevant when you’ve got small children in tow!
Please take note of the reminders to wash your hands more frequently than you would in normal circumstances, although we realise that you will have been doing this for months already! There is soap provided on each hand basin with spares available in the barn and we have also provided some hand sanitiser for your use.
Be rigorous in following social distancing when out in public.
If you show any signs of having the virus then you must immediately go and get tested by contacting the NHS.
The result must be shown to us. If positive, you will need to leave if any member of your party can drive you. If that is not possible and you have to self-isolate here, then you will have to pay for all bookings that have to be cancelled as a result.
We will need you to provide names, telephone numbers and email addresses of everyone in the party, so that we can pass this onto the NHS if it is required. This information will not be used for any other purpose. This must be provided before arrival but we will remind you about this in advance of your stay. We have received HMG guidelines that only two households (which can include a bubble of two households) can holiday together in July and August. We cannot police this and ask therefore that you risk assess your own party and use common sense to decide for yourself if it is appropriate for your group to gather together.
Remember the best way to stay safe is to regularly wash hands thoroughly.
